Hello! :D
Nice to see you all again. Last weekend, my mom, my little brother and I went to a mall in West Jakarta. During that "shopping time", I found the fantasy lollipop booth, and I was so excited! I love these lollipops. With its attracting colors, made me wanted to buy it. So, mom bought me some lollipops from the booth! yeay!
The most adorable lollipop is the christmas cane candy. So, I photographed it and added some retouches in Adobe Photoshop CS5! With photoshop, one photo will become a lot of different photos with its own unique style.
This is the original image:
Usually, to give it some "wow" look, people increases the white intensity OR the black intensity. Yeah, black and white still rules! This is the edited candy, I increase the black in the 1st photo, and I increase the white in the 2nd photo. See the different with the original one?
If you wanna make it more unique, you can play with the color balance (pic 1a and 1b), invert the photo (pic 2), make it looks vintage (pic 3), simply make it in monochrome (pic 4), and more! :)
Pic 1a : this is the Color Balance Panel, drag the Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow cursors to get your own color.
Pic 1b : This is the output example of Color Balance
Pic 2 : Inverted colors
Pic 3 : vintage look, after increasing yellow tones and adding some highlights, using both Photoshop and Photoscape
Pic 4 : Monochrome look
After the photo session and retouch session done, I made my-self-photo-session, with my Husky hat to add some winter style, lol...
Psst, Today is 22nd December, right? So today is the Mother Day! Don't forget to say "I love you, Mom" to your mommy, you don't realize how much and how deep their love for you. If you want to say it with a unique way, how about send her an e-card? BlueMountain.com has a lot of unique and sweet e-card, but most of them aren't free. Me myself, usually use Flavia e-card to send an e-card in special occasion. Click here to see Mother's Day e-cards. Don't forget to share with me about your mom's reaction when you send her the e-card, k? hahaha...
Cheers!
Raditya Dika Goes to My School! (the twice!)
By Helena Natanael - Tuesday, December 20, 2011
Hello all! Have you got your semester holiday already? How your day going? Hope you all have a nice day.
I'm kinda surprised when I'm looking on my blog stats. The most popular post that seen hundred times by lots of people, is about RADITYA DIKA !
See? It's surprising me, how can my short post with only one pic about Raditya Dika, attracted more than 100 views? and my other posts... as you can see.. nobody view it.. *sigh*
Nah but it's alright, in fact his humorist attitude attracted so much people. Especially Indonesian, of course..
And me, I don't know how to tell it, am I that lucky so I can meet him twice? First time, on my junior high school journalism session. (click here to read that popular post that I've talked about - I wrote it in Bahasa). Then, I met him last month (5th November 2011), when my Senior High School held a cup, and they invited Raditya Dika as a guest star, his stand up comedy was pretty funny and shaking everyone's stomach.
So now, let me post some pics I shot when I met him! Enjoy :)

Happy Holidays! ;)
Hi guys! The summer holiday has over. We are back to school to study again. This holiday makes me more love Indonesia although Indonesia was known as a country with the most corruption in Asia-Pacific. Every country has plus points and minus points, like a human, right?
My holiday started with boring things, staying at home and playing Restaurant City or Mafia Wars on Facebook. Then going to mall and watching on the Toy Story 3 movie in 3D format.
Oh it‘s going to rust me if stay only at home!
At the end of June 2010 was a beginning of my journey to know more, especially Jakarta and the wild animals’ life. My fam and me went to Taman Safari Cisarua-Bogor. I could see the wild animals with my own eyes, even can touch ‘em ! With little hiking, my fam and me arrived to the Curug Jaksa waterfall (at Mount Pangrango) at the corner of Taman Safari. The water was so cold and the air was quite fresh. I wondered if I were living there…
One week later, me and my cousins visited Old Batavia (in Bahasa : Kota Tua), downtown of Jakarta. There were old buildings from era of Nederland colonial here. The buildings had been reconstructed; the museums were clean from dust and trash. We liked going, by time machine and returning to hundred years ago in Jakarta. Every single place in this area was perfect for photography. There’re lot of traditional snacks and various souvenirs. I suggest you to visit Museum Fatahillah. The ticket is about 1000 – 2000 Rupiahs. Don’t forget to have lunch (most of tourists visit Old Batavia at the daytime) in Café Batavia if you want to feel the colonial atmosphere.
If you haven’t visited JFK this year, there’s still a chance to visit JFK next year. Suggestion, you bring your own car or motorcycle because little hard to get home by public transport from JFK.
Have a good time at school guys,
know ur country, love ur country !

I love the black and white photo, is it better than full color ?
:)
At the same day, my cousins and I went to Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) which to be held on 11th June – 11th July every year to celebrate the Jakarta Anniversary on 22nd June. A bit crowd, but JFK becomes a shopping paradise for everyone. The products here were sold at half price of the malls – even cheaper!
Remember, the discount is up to 70 %. Some shops at malls participate in this event so called Jakarta Great Sale :)At the same day, my cousins and I went to Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) which to be held on 11th June – 11th July every year to celebrate the Jakarta Anniversary on 22nd June.
