Homecoming is the tradition of welcoming back alumni of a school. It is a tradition in many universities, colleges and high schools in the United States. People, towns, high schools and colleges come together, usually in late September or early October, to welcome back alumni and former residents, To be honest I don't really understand why they should arrange this kind of "2nd prom" of alumni and "pre-prom" for freshmen and sophomore students. In Indonesia, alumni usually make reunion by themselves, dinner together and talk about what they've done, and they rarely make some kind of reunion party with their junior, like homecoming.
